What is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW)?
An Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) is a highly trained and educated professional recognized by Medicare to assess and treat mental health disorders in Australia, alongside psychologists and occupational therapists. Unlike a sole focus on diagnosis or symptoms, social workers concentrate on improving overall functioning. We will discuss the changes you want in your life and work collaboratively to achieve them

About Brianna
Brianna grew up in the Bega Valley and is passionate about ensuring regional communities have access to mental health services and support. As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, she has been working with individuals and families since 2006, focusing on mental health, relationship-based interventions, trauma, and attachment. Outside of her professional life, she is a mother to three children, a partner, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a widow, sometimes socially awkward, a keen scuba diver, and a reliable softball player. She value's kindness above all else and firmly believes that connection to others is the true meaning of life.

About Rachel
Rachel was raised in the Bega Valley and recently returned after spending several years away working and studying. Rachel has a passion for horses and the outdoors, embracing a holistic approach to life. Rachel recently completed a Masters in Social Work and has experience working with people facing challenges related to trauma, disabilities, anxiety, and depression. Rachel's approach to both life and work is open-minded, and she is continually striving to learn and develop her practice.
